Luckily for us, London comes up trumps when it comes to happy hours. Our city may be famed for being a pretty expensive place to live, shop, and drink – but there are plenty of affordable drinks to be found if you know where to look! From big chains dotted about the city to neighbourhood haunts – here’s our rundown of some of the best happy hours in London for you to get your drink on. We’ll cheers to that!
1. Simmons
Chances are if you’ve ever been out in London, you’ve walked – or maybe stumbled – out of a Simmons at some point. There are currently over 25 different venues dotted about the city, from Angel to Soho and everywhere in between. And that’s a great thing for the nine million people or so that live in our beloved capital because this is one of the best happy hours in London.
Right — we’ll need a deep breath to list the full selection of deals on offer from Simmons’ happy hour, running Sunday to Friday, 4 – 9pm (or 3 – 8pm in the West End). The deals include:
- Spirit and mixer for £2.50
- Bottle of beer for £3
- Glass of wine for £3
- Double spirit and mixer for £5
- Bottle of wine for £12
- Cocktail teapot for £15
- Shot Bats (6 shots) for £20
- Bottle of Prosecco for £20
But that’s not even everything! They keep some of the specials rolling on for Saturday too, with 2-for-1 on all cocktails, and their cocktail teapots still available for just £15. Phew, what a load of bargains!

2. Barrio
This lively chain, which counts what they’ve termed ‘the largest tequila bar in the world‘ among their London locations, brings guests all the Latino vibes in the shape of salsa dancing, reggaeton, and kick-ass cocktails.
The happy hour ain’t bad at Barrio, either. But with the offering, and times, differing from venue to venue, make sure you check ahead of time so you’re not left disappointed (and with an emptier wallet than expected). Each bar has its own Happy Hour, where cocktails are 2-4-1, usually from around 4 or 5 until 8pm. They’ve also slashed the prices of some of their most popular drinks, offering £4.50 bottles of Madri, and £3.50 shots of tequila.
Be sure not to miss out on Barrio’s incredible bottomless brunches either – with themes and games that range from bingo all the way to Cardi B.

3. Five Points Taproom & Courtyard
Over in Hackney at this brewery taproom, you’ll find that hallowed thing that all beer drinkers are constantly searching for: a sub-£5 pint. But they’ve taken it even further than you’d expect – the happy hour beers at the Five Points Taproom & Courtyard come in at under £4 a pint! The beer here is already some of the freshest in town; it’s brewed mere steps away from the bar and served directly from tanks. And the award-winning craft beer is also available at a steal of a price, to. Every Thursday and Friday between 5-7pm, you can enjoy tank-fresh beer for just £3.99 a pint.

4. Lost and Found
This friendly and easy-going little cocktail bar is set right in the heart of Balham, with a focus on attention to detail, an attitude that extends across both the kitschy decor and the cocktails. Lost and Found is the kind of place where if something ain’t on the menu, you just have to ask and they’ll rustle something up for you – what more could you ask for, right?
Speaking of happy hours, theirs runs every day until 7pm, and you’ll bag yourself two cocktails for the price of one during this time. Or on Mondays, you can enjoy £6.50 cocktails all night long. Cheers to that!

5. The Natural Philosopher
What happens when you combine a Mac repair shop (with a reputation for fixing even the most damaged of Apple devices) with a cocktail bar? You get cult East London drinking destination, The Natural Philosopher. Amidst shelves heaving with an Apple collection that could double as a museum, or sunken into the back room on plush stools clustered around low tables, guests can sip at gorgeously unique cocktails crafted with foraged ingredients.
And those cocktails can come at a steal of a price if you pop down any day between 6 – 8pm. And yes, that does include the weekend! Their Happy Hour treats you to any two of their elevated classic cocktails for just £16.

6. UBA
This recently-opened pan-Asian restaurant in Shoreditch has partnered up with Hoxton Spirits to offer up some cut-price drinks to thirsty Londoners. UBA’s happy hour Hoxton Hour runs from 5-8pm on weekdays, with cocktails priced at just £8. Plus, with sips ranging from the Hoxton Picante to the UBA Colada and the Mexican Forest, there’s sure to be a drink for all palates.

7. Be At One
An ideal spot for kicking off any night, Be At One is another multi-branch chain found in every nook and cranny of our beloved London Town.
Fun and unpretentious with some banging tunes playing through the speakers until the wee hours, it’s easy to while away the hours here. The happy hour certainly helps – you’ll score yourself 2-4-1 cocktails from around 5 until 8pm (venue dependent) – and that includes ALL of the cocktails on the menu. Just missed the fun, or want to extend the deals for longer? The Be At One app allows you to add on an extra ‘Appi Hour’ for even more cut-price drinking.

8. Jack Solomons Club
If you’re after a more unique venue for your next happy hour splash-outs (it’s easier when all the individual drinks are cheaper – right?) this is the spot to go. This Soho speakeasy was once the boxing gym where the namesake boxing legend from the ’40s and ’50s used to train. Now it’s an opulent drinking den, with plenty of deals to be had!
If you head down on a Wednesday, you can enjoy ‘Old Fashioned Wednesday’. The name of the game is, you guessed it, the house Old Fashioned – and it’ll cost you a measly £5 (!). And then, every Thursday from 6-9pm they cut the price of their house cocktails in half for ‘Thirsty Thursday‘. We’ll take four, thanks!

9. Salsa!
Somewhat of a London institution, Salsa! is another one that cranks up the party vibes and then some. With two venues in Temple and Soho, these lively spots bring Latin American vibes with pumping tunes, colourful decor, and all the energy you’d expect in this kind of place.
It shouldn’t come as a surprise that they have weekly salsa classes, but they also host a whole array of fantastic bottomless brunches, from bougie bottomless brunches hosted by drag queens to ones with performances by buff male dancers, or even both at the same time! Gimme, gimme more we say.
Head along for one of their dancing lessons and you’ll even get some incredible deals on drinks. We’re talking £3 beers, ciders, and spirits with mixer – with doubles priced at just £4.25! Add to that a Happy Hour that runs from 4 to 8pm, and a 50% discount on main courses from 1 to 11pm, and you’re in for a great night out without breaking the bank!

10. 73 Enid Street
Here’s a spot for those who want their beer as crafty as possible, as fresh as possible, and as deliciously hoppy as possible. 73 Enid Street is the London taproom for Manchester-based hop-forward brewery, Cloudwater, and they serve up the freshest Cloudwater beer that can be found short of heading up north to the brewery itself! From an archway taproom, they’re also serving up some of the best deals on beer to be found in our city.
Their core range of beers, led by the fittingly-named ‘Happy’ pale ale, gets the prices slashes on weekdays until 7pm. There’s a variety of pales ales and lagers to choose from, and they’re all available for pound cheaper than their usual costs. And considering how fresh the beer is, we reckon that’s a banging bargain.

11. Corrochio’s
Over in Dalston, this Mexican restaurant serves up a slice of sunshine, some top-class Mexican food, and banging margaritas. Oh, and if you time your visit right, you can get those margaritas for a steal of a price. Every day from 6 – 7pm, they serve up their Classic Margarita for just £8. And yes, if you ask nicely they’ll make it a spicy one.
If you’re just here for the drinks, you can find the same deal in their nearby Corrochio’s Cantina. Order a Margarita or a Tommy’s Margarita before 7pm and it’ll run you just £8.

12. Lucy Wong
This literary-inspired cocktail bar simply oozes sophistication and decadence – hearkening back to a bygone era whilst remaining resolutely modern. And thanks to Happy Hours At Lucy’s you can get a taste of the high life at not-so-high prices. From Monday to Friday between 5-7pm, all cocktails are available in a 2-4-1 deal. This includes their classic cocktails, summer spritzes, and even their alcoholic sorbet serves.

13. Speedboat Bar
This raucous Thai drinking and dining establishment brings spiced-up party vibes to London. Speedboat Bar is just as passionate about its blazing hot Thai food as it is about keeping the good vibes going all night, and as such have a couple of very attractive happy hour deals. During Happy Hour (which is seven days a week from 3-6pm, and 10pm to close) you can nab a Snake Blood Negroni, a Whisky and Soda, or a Tommy Goes to Thailand for just £7.50. Or, opt for their new ‘555’ offering that gets you a Leo beer, a cocktail, and a chaser, all for just £15. Why is it called the ‘555’ offer? In their own words: “The name stems from ‘555’ in Thai: translating to ‘hahaha’ – a feeling we associate with sharing a few drinks with your mates, as well as the unlucky one picking up the tab.”

14. The Lock Tavern
Pretty much right opposite Camden’s famous market and the bronze statue of icon Amy Winehouse lies The Lock Tavern. It’s a buzzing, historic spot with a lush rooftop terrace, a banging Sunday roast and a beer garden to boot.
Self-described as a “poshed up boozer with a punk soul”, the vibes are impeccable here. As well as being a great spot to hang out, they also offer a bloody great 2-4-1 cocktail deal on Thursdays, from 7-11pm. That’s your next evening sorted then!

15. Blackhorse Beer Mile
Instead of one venue for a cheap night out, how about a bunch of them all clustered along the same alcohol-fuelled destination? Over on the Blackhorse Beer Mile a number of craft beer breweries, and even an urban winery, are ready and waiting for you. Make that beer crawl a little less damaging on the wallet with these happy hour deals:
🍻 Over at Exale Brewing, a number of happy hour deals await the thirsty. On Thursdays and Sundays they offer select pints for just £4 (exclusing Bank holidays of match days). For the less beer-inclined, their Happy Friday Nights deal finds them shaking up cocktails for just £6.50 every Friday all the way through to the wee hours of the morning.
🍻 East London craft beer favourite, Hackney Brewery, also has some banging cheap beers, thanks to their £4 Thursdays. All of the brewery’s core beers cost just – you guessed it – £4, every Thursday, all Thursday long.
🍻 Pretty Decent Beer Co.’s brewery tours aren’t technically a happy hour deal, but a £25 ticket nets you four beers a freshly-made pizza and a 1.5 hour tasting experience.

16. The Regent
This local independent boozer whips up a great happy hour if you’re knocking about the Islington area of London. They rustle up some mean, stonebaked pizzas, show regular sports fixtures on the big screen, and have a wide variety of craft beers, ales, wines and spirits on offer if you’re looking to whet your whistle.
The Regent also hosts weekly comedy nights so you can make it a big night of laughs and lashin’ if you so choose. Each Monday you can chow down on two for £18 across all pizzas and mains as you try not to wet yourself with laughter (or choke!) thanks to the free comedy. As if that wasn’t enough, they also do a cheeky cocktail deal, with two for £12 cocktails (two of the same), every Wednesday – Friday. They also have a cheeky deal that will make you consider taking the afternoon off work every Friday with their £5 pints from 2-6pm.

17. The Three Crowns
This large Stokey pub is pretty much an institution in this area of London. They whip up a great roast, have an event pretty much every night of the week, and serve up a hell of a lot of beers. Downstairs lies ‘The Waiting Room’ – which has regular gigs on the weekends – and there are cosy, leather booths which are the perfect place for sipping your pints in.
But perhaps the best thing about The Three Crowns is the happy hour, which runs Monday to Friday, from 4 – 7pm. You’ll get two cocktails for 15 quid and select pints for under £4. A steal!
