Christmas is drawing ever nearer. From Christmas lights to markets and festive ice rinks, London is well and truly overflowing with festive cheer. And yet another of London’s displays has switched on – waiting patiently for your apreciative ‘ooh’s and ‘aah’s. That’s because Belgravia has flipped the swtich on their Christmas lights.
Each year, this elegant part of London puts on a gorgeous display full of festive cheer, and this year is no different! Last year saw the area suffused with golden twinkling lights as festive chandeliers hung high above the heads of visitors. Glowing stars shone through the nights, and fairy lights twinkled merrily on high.

This year, they’ve brought the display back – but with a new colour scheme. The hanging chandeliers and twinkling fairy lights are glowing overhead with a soft blue-white illumination. It really heightens the feeling of winter in the area, making for a properly festive display – especially amidst the current cold weather we’re experiencing!
The lights turned on in Belgravia on November 16. And naturally, they threw a party to celebrate, flipping the switch at 4:45pm on Elizabeth Street. (Because sadly that’s how early it gets dark in London now…)

The rest of Belgravia is also getting into the spirit of Christmas, with a whole host of promotions, sales, and special goods and items to check out. Wander down the street, and you’ll also spot that the stores have given themselves gorgeous festive makeovers. Sparkling gift-wrapped presents, oversized wreaths, festive foliage, and more now frame the shopfronts.
Who needs to go inside when the window shopping is so stunning?!
