You’ll need to wait until 2021 to catch All Points East festival.
It really was just a matter of time, wasn’t it? In the interest of public health, and bowing to the wisdom of cancelling mass gatherings during a pandemic, All Points East have today announced that their 2020 festival will be cancelled. (Featured image: @lou_morrisphoto)
Due to rock Victoria Park from May 22-31st, All Points East had lined up the likes of Tame Impala, Kraftwerk, Massive Attack, Iggy Pop, Johnny Marr, Grandmaster Flash, Caribou, Bombay Bicycle Club, Loyle Carner, The Kooks, and many more to perform.
Citing the strain the festival would put on our already-beleaguered NHS and emergency services, All Points East concluded the only sensible option would be to cancel the 2020 festival. Much like Glastonbury and the Olympics, however, they’ve promised to return bigger and better in 2021 – which is shaping up to be a pretty epic summer already. Fingers crossed…
