All Points East – one of the highlights of last year’s London festival calendar – is back for 2019. And yet more acts have been revealed!
The Strokes will play their first gig in the UK in four years, having last rocked London at British Summer Time in 2015. It’s one of their first shows since 2017 (when they joined Lollapalooza’s foray into Latin America) and comes ahead of their reunion shows at NYC’s Governors Ball, Lollapalooza Paris and Bilbao BBK Live later in the summer. The garage-rock quintet will be headlining the Saturday of All Point East’s opening weekend (May 25), and will be ferociously supported by fellow NYC’ers Interpol, along with The Raconteurs, Johnny Marr, Parquet Courts, Jarvis Cocker, Courtney Barnett, Connan Mockasin, Anna Calvi, Bakar, The Nude Party, and Viagra Boys.
A slew of other support acts have been added to the Friday and Sunday dates including Jon Hopkins, James Blake and Princess Nokia. ‘citing times!
