It’s been a whopping 75 years since one of the most mischievously mayhemic characters in comic-book history first appeared on the pages of The Beano. And to mark Dennis the Menace reaching this rather monumental milestone, a playful (and completely free-to-visit) art trail will be landing in London this winter.
The trail in question is called ‘The Dennis and Gnasher Mega Mischief Trail‘, and it will do what it says on the tin, really. Featuring twelve uniquely-designed Dennis the Menace sculptures, the trail will wind its way around the city this festive season for us fortunate folk to feast our eyes on – without having to pay a penny.
The Dennis and Gnasher Mega Mischief Trail
The specially-created sculpture trail comes courtesy of a collaboration between Beano and Wild in Art (an organisation that is certainly no stranger to filling the streets of the city with glorious things to gawp at). The 2026 Fleet Street Quarter installation comes following the success of last year’s ‘Snoopy in the City‘ trail – and will, once again, feature the work of 12 different artists.

Paying homage to the world’s longest running weekly comic, each artist has created their own individual interpretation of the beloved Beano characters. Landing in London on November 18, the trail will be sure to deliver magic and mischief in equal measure, and remain in place until January 15. So, there’s plenty of time to seek out the striking statues.
Fleet Street is the historic heart of the nation’s newspaper industry and this new partnership honours the special connection between D.C Thomson (the Beano’s publisher) and the area that the company called home for over a century. Alongside the sculptures, visitors will be able to enjoy themed light projections of Dennis and Gnasher, as well as a whole host of festive goings-on.
The Dennis and Gnasher Mega Mischief Trail will be winding its way around the Fleet Street Quarter from November 18 until January 15. You can keep your eyes peeled on their website for more information as it comes.
