In London, and indeed all around the world, there are basically two camps of people. There are those who are already breathlessly waiting for the holiday season and the return of the Christmas lights. And there are those who angrily rail against Christmas’ ever-encroaching festivity – outshining Halloween and arriving earlier and earlier every year. But there’s also a third group of people: those who patiently wait each year for the return of the Diwali lights and the holiday’s sparkling displays.
Fortunately for the latter group, one of London’s Diwali light displays has already announced details of its return. The iconic Harrods department store has announced that its stunning Festival of Light display will return this year, following its 2025 debut. The Diwali lights will take over the store’s facade for just 3 nighs, from November 6-8.
From 4pm each night, the store will be taken over by “captivating waves of colour that cascade across the Knightsbridge landmark, creating a celebrative and joyful expression of the Festival of Lights.”
The lights will play across the store’s exterior each evening, inviting guests to celebrate Diwali with Harrods through light, colour and shared moments of togetherness.
