I don’t know about you, but when I’m in a train station, I’m either making a mad dash for my platform or grabbing a quick snack before heading to my destination. But that might soon be changing, as the first-ever food hall located within a rail station in the UK is coming to London on 16 October.
This Friday, Victoria Station, Britain’s second busiest train station, will open the first-of-its-kind food hall, bringing together street food traders at one of London’s busiest transport hubs.
What to expect from this first-of-a-kind food hall
The food hall will be able to host 200 guests, where they can grab a cocktail or beer, watch live sports and, of course, grab something delicious to eat.
Speaking of, the confirmed food traders for the food hall are:
- Argentinian Grill: Flame grilled Argentinian meats, steaks and BBQ favourites
- Hide & Greek: Gyros, Greek style wraps, salad boxes and loaded fries
- Inamo Sukoshi: Fresh sushi and Japanese inspired street food
- Jollof Mama: Jollof rice and bold West African dishes inspired by Nigerian flavours
- Limin: Caribbean-Indian dishes including Jerk Chicken Roti, Curried Goat, Mac & Cheese, Panipuri, Doubles and Samosas
- Made in Puglia: Authentic Italian pizzas, with halal, vegetarian and vegan options
- SABA: Korean inspired bulgogi bowls and crispy fried chicken
- Streat Latin: Tacos, burritos, arepas and loaded nachos
- Thai House: Pad Thai, Drunken Noodles, Massaman Curry and classic Thai street food dishes
- The Duck Shed: Signature duck wraps, duck burgers and indulgent duck favourite.
This offering ensures a diverse range of cuisines from around the globe.
Alongside the food, the cocktail bar will be the perfect spot to meet a friend for a drink in a central, easy-to-get-to spot. The station serves 53 million National Rail passengers and over 60 million tube passengers every year, so this new food hall will see plenty of footfall.
The interiors look pretty swish too, if these renderings are anything to go by.

Opening offers
To celebrate the openings there will be a series of offers available throughout its first month, including 50 free offers every day after 5pm. Each day’s giveaway will be anounced on their instagram page, so keep your eyes peeled.
You won’t need to fret about missing your train either as there will be live train departure screens inside the food hall.
The Market Place Food Hall Victoria is part of Market Place Food Hall’s growing list of food halls across the city, including venues in Leicester Square, St Paul’s, Vauxhall, Harrow and Peckham.
So it’ll soon be time to ditch the train pre-train meal deal for a drink and some premium street food.
