1. Primrose Hill
Primrose Hill, com os seus caminhos em ziguezague e a icónica paisagem urbana de Londres a desenrolar-se à sua frente, tem facilmente uma das melhores vistas de toda a cidade. A partir daqui, pode ver tudo, desde o London Eye aos arranha-céus reluzentes de Canary Wharf; e é bastante romântico, também. (Perfeito para um primeiro encontro quando o tempo está bom!)
É um espaço público aberto desde 1842, tem o estatuto de parque classificado como Grade-II e apresenta duas das treze vistas protegidas de Londres em direção à Catedral de St. Paul e ao Palácio de Westminster. Um ótimo local para um ou dois ovos de uísque – especialmente ao pôr do sol.

2. Jardins de Kew
Que melhor maneira de marcar um lindo dia de céu azul do que fazer uma viagem para Kew Gardens? Têm a maior coleção de plantas vivas num único jardim botânico. Por outras palavras, os Jardins de Kew são bastante impressionantes, muitoobrigado.
Terá de pagar para entrar, mas vale bem a pena a visita e pode poupar alguns cêntimos se trouxer as suas próprias bebidas e comida. Isso é algo com que nos podemos dar bem…

3. Praça do Soho
Mesmo no coração da cidade, a Soho Square é um pequeno local encantador que foi construído na década de 1670, quando foi anunciado como o “lugar mais elegante para se viver em Londres”. Atualmente, está rodeada por várias empresas de comunicação social e é frequentada por inúmeros fashionistas durante a semana – muitos deles para almoçar. (Pode até ver alguns escritores do Secret London a entrar e a sair da luz do sol, de sanduíche na mão).
Um local fantástico para observar as pessoas, recomendamos vivamente que venha aqui fazer um piquenique – embora possa ter alguma dificuldade em encontrar um lugar para se sentar quando o sol estiver a brilhar. É frequente haver artistas e músicos ao vivo quando o tempo está bom, e há 16 edifícios classificados espalhados pela praça, para não mencionar os numerosos bares e restaurantes nas proximidades.

4. Parque de Greenwich
Oficialmente um dos parques mais bonitos do Reino Unido (e, por sua vez, um dos melhores locais para piquenique em Londres), Greenwich é um antigo parque de caça do rei Henrique VIII e é o mais antigo dos oito Parques Reais de Londres. A área deslumbrante é o lar de avenidas espaçosas, jardins repletos de flores, prados ricos em vida selvagem e locais históricos que remontam ao tempo dos romanos. É um local tranquilo que vale bem a pena visitar quando estiver no SE10 – especialmente se estiver a pensar em fazer um piquenique.
Famoso pelas suas vistas panorâmicas sobre Canary Wharf, a cidade e o rio Tamisa, é também um dos melhores locais da cidade para ver o pôr do sol (ou o nascer do sol, se for mais madrugador).

5. Hampstead Heath
Este é realmente o material da lenda – e é fácil perceber porquê. Com 320 hectares, é sinónimo de colinas ondulantes, excelentes vistas e bosques repletos de vida selvagem – já para não falar dos lagos para nadar! Este é o parque que inspirou C.S. Lewis a escrever As Crónicas de Nárnia, por isso é um lugar bastante mágico.
Recomendamos vivamente um passeio por aqui, que culmina com um delicioso piquenique – enquanto saboreia as vistas da cidade. Também está a uma curta distância de alguns dos melhores pubs de Londres. Alguém quer uma cerveja pós-piquenique?

6. Campos de Londres
Um parque de 31 acres localizado a oeste da Mare Street, no centro-sul de Hackney, London Fields é sempre animado quando o sol está brilhando – especialmente nos fins de semana. Fica mesmo ao lado do Broadway Market – o local perfeito para passear e comprar alguns objectos – e de muitas lojas de esquina e de comércio de rua para comprar um pacote de batatas fritas e uma garrafa de vinho.
É outro ótimo local para observar as pessoas, e o lido fica a poucos passos de distância se quiser dar um mergulho depois do piquenique. É só deixar a comida digerir, claro…

7. Clapham Common
De um belo coreto e um lago perfeito (completo com um clube de iates modelo) a maravilhosas áreas florestais para a sua natureza, Clapham Common é um local encantador em, bem, Clapham. E há inúmeros locais para pousar um tapete e saborear uma comida deliciosa.
Recomendamos que se dirija para o coreto, que é o mais antigo da cidade e, se tiver sorte, poderá ouvir música, se for na altura certa. Jantar Um piquenique e um espetáculo – que delícia!

8. Lincoln’s Inn Fields
A maior praça pública de Londres, Lincoln’s Inn Fields foi estabelecida pela primeira vez na década de 1630, e também fica a poucos passos das estações de metrô Holborn e Chancery Lane. O traçado atual data do início do século XIX e não sofreu alterações significativas desde então.É tudo relvado bem cuidado, belos canteiros de flores e amplas avenidas para passear. Perfeito para um piquenique depois do trabalho, está escondido das ruas movimentadas pelas quais o centro de Londres é tão conhecido.
Há muitas lojas nas proximidades para se abastecer de todos os produtos, e muitos bares também para quando a temperatura cair mais tarde.

9. Parque Battersea
Definitivamente um candidato a ser um dos melhores locais para piquenique em Londres, o Battersea Park em Battersea (onde mais?) é um local encantador que realmente tem tudo. Jardim zoológico para crianças? Verificado. Putt no parque? Sim. Pagode japonês da paz? A verificar? Espaço infinito para piqueniques? Sim!
Há também um passeio ribeirinho e um grande lago aqui, por isso, antes ou depois do piquenique, porque não sair para um passeio relaxante? Há muitos cães aqui, então fique de olho quando estiver comendo – a última coisa que você precisa é de um sanduíche roubado!

10. Parque Brockwell
Abrangendo uns impressionantes 51 acres, o Brockwell Park é um local sereno que abrange colinas verdes e ondulantes, um jardim murado e lagos de patos. A maior parte do tempo, pelo menos. O parque sofre algumas alterações durante os meses mais quentes de verão, quando alguns dos melhores festivais de música da cidade se instalam na orla ocidental do parque.
Mesmo quando a música está a tocar, é um ótimo local para um passeio. E não é muito difícil evitar as multidões. Quando o sol brilha, não se quer estar em mais lado nenhum da cidade, e há alguns pubs excelentes em Herne Hill para uma cerveja depois do piquenique. Há também um lido aqui – por isso é ótimo para um mergulho também!

11. Parque Victoria

Afinal de contas, é menos divertido quando mal se consegue ver a relva para o número de pessoas espremidas num parque pequeno! E como o Victoria Park, na zona leste de Londres, tem 86 hectares, há espaço mais do que suficiente para toda a gente.
