Darts fever is what the end of the year is all about, and the excitement has only been building over the last few years, owing a lot to the success of the teenage starlet that is Luke Littler. And the lively end-of-year action that is the PDC World Darts Championship has become synonymous with Alexandra Palace, having been held there since 2007, which is where it will be staying until at least 2031.
Last year, there had been some talk of the competition moving away from the venue due to its capacity limits versus the heavy demand for tickets. Now, though, it’s just been confirmed that the show will go on, with the World Darts Championship set to remain at Ally Pally for another five years.

The news comes right on the eve of the PDC World Darts Championship kicking off, with the fun beginning tomorrow (December 11). 18-year-old Luke Littler will be hoping to defend his title from the last tournament, with the Darts running into the New Year and climaxing with the grand final on Saturday, January 3, 2026.
As part of the move to stay at the venue and tackle the demand for tickets, PDC have announced that it will be moving into the Great Hall from next year, meaning many more will be able to enjoy the antics. This year’s tournament will remain in the West Hall. Though they welcomed 125,000 revellers into the hall for the whole Darts tournament last year, the move to the Great Hall will mean the total tournament space will jump by 55,000.
Speaking on the news, Lucy Fenner, Alexandra Palace Commercial Director, said: “We’re honoured to have hosted the Worlds since 2007 and are delighted to extend our partnership with the PDC. Christmas simply isn’t complete without the annual trip to the darts at Ally Pally. Moving into the Great Hall from 2026 will take the tournament to a new level.”
