While the typical “festival season” may truly kick in over the summer, that won’t stop London hosting some cracking indoor offerings. And, if you like your wine and you love Eataly – London’s 42,000 square foot Italian food hub – you’re in for something special, friends.
Those who attended the wine and prosecco festival at Eataly last October will have a good idea of what to expect. Starting on Friday, February 4 and lasting all weekend, guests are invited to stroll around celebrating the wines of Italy.
Visitors are invited to try a selection of over 30 wines, and will each be gifted an Eataly wine glass and pouch to take with them on their travels.
When entering the festival, wine-lovers can wander around Il Vino, the UK’s largest Italian winery and home to over 2,000 different labels. Plus, you can rack the brains of the wine experts at Eataly, who will be on hand to pass on their enviable wine-y wisdom with all who attend.
Since you’re already at Eataly, it would also be rude not to combine it with some of the fine food around the space. Seriously, they have everything from cured meats to fabulous cheeses to olive oils to panettone to coffee (hey, we’ll all probably need one after that last wine) to ciabatta to ravioli to gelato. Take your pick.
The Wine Festival at Eataly takes place on February 4-6. Opening hours are 4pm-10pm (February 4-5) and 12pm-8pm (February 6).
Find Eataly at 135 Bishopsgate, EC2M 3YD (nearest station is Liverpool Street) You can book tickets to the festival here.
