The countdown to Christmas has begun, life in lockdown is finally behind us, and now it’s time to immerse ourselves in as much festive cheer as possible. But how? You’ll be able to catch up on all your Christmas shopping and enjoy all the beautiful decorations in the shopping centres of course, but this year there’s a lot more festive fun in store…

You’ll be able to visit a wonderful Winter Village that’s popped up at Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush) and is filled to the brim with festive food, drink, and activities. You’ll also be able to rent Christmas trees, decorations, jumpers and more from the ‘A Very Rental Christmas’ Store. And, to top it all off, both shopping centres will also be offering virtual meet and greets with the Big Man himself! Santa. Mr. Claus. Father Christmas. Jolly Old St Nick. That’s right, kids – better get your Christmas wish lists ready!

Winter Village at Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush)

From Thursday 10 December, Westfield Square will be magically transformed into a veritable Christmas wonderland. A festive oasis in the midst of the Big Smoke. There, small groups of up to six, merry households and bubbles can sip on seasonal tipples and enjoy a festive All Star feast in an igloo pod! Filled with cosy blankets, sparkling lights and beautiful decorations, the heated All Star Lanes Igloos are perfect for brunch, lunch, afternoon tea or dinner. Igloos start from £20 per person for a 2-hour booking.

You can also visit the W12 Bar for some seasonal cocktails, or belt out some Christmas bangers in one of the six All Star Lanes wooden karaoke chalets. Whether it’s Sleigh My Name, or All the Jingle Ladies – we’ve got you covered! Karaoke chalets start from £10 for a 1 hour booking.

A Very Rental Christmas Store at Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush)

Christmas might be the most wonderful time of the year, but it can also be a) expensive b) not the most sustainable time of year c) difficult when you want to switch up your decor but don’t have acres of space to store things come the New Year. The solution? Renting. This year, Westfield London has opened a festive emporium, ‘A Very Rental Christmas’, from December 3 – 13, allowing visitors to rent eco-friendly potted Christmas trees, decorations, tableware and even festive jumpers, just for the holiday season.

Curated by Laura Whitmore, the collection is guaranteed to brighten up your home this Christmas. All you have to do is make sure you bring your rented packages back to the store on January 9 or 10. And, in case you need any more reasons to try renting this Christmas, just know that all proceeds from the store will be going towards Save The Children’s Christmas Day Initiative. How lovely!

Santa Calls at Westfield London (Shepherd’s Bush) and Westfield Stratford City

Last but not least, let’s talk about how you can make an appointment with Santa Claus himself! From December 10 to 24, Westfield invites you and your family to book your very own private virtual meet and greet with Santa. These virtual sessions are free to book and are available between 12-6pm each day in the lead up to Christmas. You’ll also get a digital photo taken with Santa as a memento of your visit! Just because Christmas looks a little different this year doesn’t mean you and your family should have to miss out on the magic of beloved Christmas traditions like visiting Santa’s grotto!
