Let me set the scene for you: you’ve been on a lovely sunny (ish) stroll around Russell Square, you’ve hit your step goal for the day, and now you’re on the hunt for a little something sweet to reward yourself with. The smell of coffee beans and pistachio floats through the air – and that’s when you spot them. Two bright, red telephone boxes, with just one thing on speed-dial: tiramisu.
That’s right, folks: just when you thought you’d seen everything London has to offer, you stumble upon Walkmisú. The public phone boxes turned takeaway dessert spot serves up delicious homemade tiramisu to-go. How tiramisuper is that?
The phone boxes were transformed back in 2020 (*shudders at the sheer mention of that year*) – and have been serving up bloomin’ tasty tiramisu ever since. Aside from the classic (if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it and all that…), you’ll find strawberry, lemon, and pistachio variations, plus the odd monthly special.
Walkmisú use only Italian ingredients for their creations, with absolutely no dyes or preservatives. Teetotallers will also be happy to know that the desserts are 100% alcohol free. So they’re perfect for absolutely any time of day. Because why opt for a morning coffee when you could have a morning dessert instead, with the same caffeine hit, but an added (generous) helping of mascarpone, sugar, and cocoa powder?
If you’re not always in the mood for tiramisu, fear not – Walkmisú also have pastries, arancini and – wait for it – lasagne. So, there’s something for everyone to tuck in to.
Ring ring: Walkmisú is calling.
