Salt Bae Is Officially Opening A London Restaurant And This Is What We Know

Salt Bae is officially coming to London!

Turkish chef and viral internet sensation Nusret Gökçe, better known to us as Salt Bae, is officially opening a restaurant in London, and it’s perhaps our favourite news of 2018 so far. Nusr-Et Steakhouse already has successful branches across Turkey and Dubai*, but now Gökçe is bringing his saucy meat prep a little further afield…

Last year, Salt Bae won us all over after he posted a video of himself tenderly preparing meat and salting it with more sass than we’d ever seen before. If you haven’t seen the video, a) where the hell have you been? and b) here it is.

Nusret Gökçe drove us all wild with his impeccable skills. Even babies were replicating his sassiness:

And some people (arguably) took their love for Salt Bae just that little bit too far…

Anyway, after months of speculation, the news is out that Nusr-Et Steakhouse is coming to The Park Tower Knightsbridge Hotel. We’re not sure exactly when it’ll be opening, but it seems his signature dishes will be Roasted Asado Short Rib, Nusr-Et Meat Spaghetti and the Nusr-Et Special (another top secret, it seems).

More details to follow – have patience, London.

*His most recent branch in New York hasn’t been quite so successful. Here’s what people are saying.
