Vaulty Towers might just be the most eccentric pub in all of London…
…but in the best way possible. There is nothing quite like an evening spent kicking back in this pub. The whole place is covered in incredible stage props – like those semi-terrifying hands hovering over the door. If an award existed for most feather boas in a pub, Vaulty Towers would win it. However, spectacular as it is, the decoration isn’t the most intriguing element of the Vaulty Towers experience. (Featured image: @vaultytowersuk)

First, let’s start with the wildlife: not only are you likely to spot a couple of dogs kicking back, but there is also a sweet cat named Miso who likes to curl up on any available comfy chair. There’s plenty else to entertain you at Vaulty Towers too, as for £10 you can catch a play, eat a pie and drink a pint – sounds pretty good to me!

If this pub didn’t already have enough selling points, they do life drawing classes. Not the kind where you have to book in advance, but the kind where anyone can turn up, pay £10 and draw to their heart’s content. Moreover, they often host comedy nights and live music. Of course, this place sells some indulgent cocktails because why wouldn’t they? With negronis and martinis on tap, it’s the perfect way to let your hair down.

Mondays evenings mean pub quiz night here, and it sure isn’t your standard quiz – for example, how many of your regular pubs quizzes feature forfeits, lunges, lip-sync battles, and free shots? On Sundays, Vaulty Towers serve delicious veggie and vegan roasts, and if you stay into the evening you can catch live blues music or do battle on the darts board.

At the moment, Vaulty Towers is hosting productions as part of VAULT Festival, which includes tons of exciting theatre performances. If you’re interested, you can buy tickets here. It’s just one more excellent reason to visit one of the capital’s quirkiest bars, really.
