I’ll see your Pancake Day and I’ll raise you ‘Topshop returns to the UK high street after a 5 year hiatus’ Day. That’s right, folks: the brand that shaped the style of an entire generation (and gave us all the perfect central London meeting point) has just made the ultimate comeback inside 32 John Lewis stores across the UK. And yes, whilst it’s a shame that Topshop won’t be reclaiming its former flagship site, slap-bang in the middle of Oxford Street (mainly because it’s now the home to a whole load of flat-pack furniture and Swedish meatballs); the big old John Lewis store down the road will be one of the stores in which the beloved brand will be available, so we can’t complain too much.
Topshop officially returns to the UK high street
Topshop will be exclusively available at the 32 John Lewis stores across the UK (7 of which are in the capital city). This iconic comeback marks the headline act of a rather hefty expansion of John Lewis’s fashion offerings. 14 new fashion brands are launching at the department store this spring as part of an £800 million, multi-year investment. This will be the first time that Topshop’s rails can be browsed in-person across the whole of Britain since the brand had to close its shutters back in 2020, following the collapse of the Arcadia Group.
The collection found inside the selected John Lewis stores will feature around 130 of Topshop’s most in-demand pieces. Topman will also be setting up shop inside 7 John Lewis stores across the country, including the flagship Oxford Street store.
