The sinking of the RMS Titanic over 100 years ago has been featured in many a book, documentary and film. However, you’ll have never seen it like this – which is probably why Titanic: The Exhibition tickets are in such high demand that organisers brought forward the opening date! Originally due to open in February 2022, the exhibition is already in town, placing the personal stories of those aboard the fateful voyage at the forefront of the display. The exhibition will be leaving London on April 17.
The exhibition, which has never before been displayed in the UK, showcases over 200 original artefacts, as well as moving testimonies from those who survived the sunken ship, using dynamic audio guides and cabin reconstructions to take you back to April 15, 1912.
The waterside Surrey Quays venue, Dock X London, has seen its high ceilings and cavernous spaces transformed into the perfect exhibition space. After a hectic morning of shopping at nearby Surrey Quays Shopping Centre, Titanic: The Exhibition will take a slower pace. You can take your time for an afternoon of history and learning, as you stroll through life-size replicas of a humble third-class cabin, and opulent first-class suite. The event, which has been produced by award-winning company, Musealia, also brings together pages of intimate diary entries, precious jewellery, and clothing belonging to passengers.
Tickets are available now, offering your chance to be amongst the first to open a window into the past and explore this unforgettable exhibition! They start from as little as £19.90 for adults and £11.50 for children, and there’s even a ‘first-class’ option, which includes fast-track access on the day, a souvenir photograph and commemorative exhibition booklet. They’re selling fast though, so you’ll need to be quick to get your hands on them…
