This cute Charing Cross rooftop has had a wintery makeover.
Bourne & Hollingsworth’s beautiful Garden Room, found on the 10th floor of the Assembly Hotel in Charing Cross, is currently undergoing a seasonal transformation, filling the space with golden autumnal and winter foliage. With the new look will come new menus and events, and it all sounds wonderfully festive.
The transformation will be revealed on October 24, when guests will be able admire the hanging plants, winter berries, and plenty of other lovely botanicals, including herbs that will be used by the bartenders. And that won’t be the only thing to ogle at: the rooftop restaurant also boasts some stunning views over the city.
Welcoming in the winter will be a fantastic selection of warming cocktails, such as the Smoked B&H Dram made with orange and sage, Smokey Monkey Shoulder Whisky, King’s Ginger liqueur, Amaro di Angostura, Martini Rubino and apple juice; the Azteca Hot Chocolate with tequila, Fair Cacao Liqueur, Ancho Reyes and steamed oat milk topped with chocolate milk foam and dark chocolate shavings. All the drinks are made using as many ingredients grown on site as possible.
Throughout the season there’ll also be a bunch of wholesome cocktail classes, including a Bonfire Night Special where you can learn to master mulled wine and cider, hot toddies and boozy hot chocolates; and a Foraging Special where you’ll learn how to ‘drink what you sow’.
At weekends, B&H Garden Room will host a Brunch Club, where diners can munch on delicious dishes such as sweet potato pancakes with yoghurt and date syrup, or burnt leeks, wild mushroom benedict with poached eggs and bearnaise sauce. Brunch Club will take place in their private dining space, hosting just 30 diners at a time.
Last but certainly not least, there’ll also be a series of seasonal supper clubs, including Bonfire Night and Thanksgiving feasts. Guests will get a four-course meal curated by a guest chef, alongside exclusive wines and cocktails.
