As recent months have shown us, sport has seeped into the minds of many a Londoner, with most of us sounding like a broken record stuck on a Euros-Wimbledon-Olympics medley. But what follows a summer of sport? More sport. All the time. It doesn’t stop. (*Cackles in Premier League is back this weekend*)
Wait, still not enough? Fine. There are always plenty of things to do around the city that will satisfy a sports fan all year round… even on a weekday as they twiddle their thumbs wondering what the starting lineup will be come Saturday.
Here are some of the best that you’ll find on Fever to surround yourself with all things sport:
1. Be the first to hear about the ultimate Chelsea fan experience
To celebrate the exciting new partnership between Fever and Chelsea FC, the two have paired up to offer the ultimate experience for fans of the football club.
While full details remain under wraps for now, signing up to this waitlist will ensure you’re the first to know about exclusive opportunities.
2. Embrace cricketing history at a tour of the Oval
If football isn’t your bag, you can always go for a looksies at The Oval, one of London’s historical cricketing hubs. Having first opened in 1845, it’s one of the world’s oldest cricketing grounds – and you’ll be treated to tea or coffee on the way in! On the 90-minute tour, you’ll see the views pitchside as well as getting a sneak peek at the Member’s Pavillion and Committee Room before taking in a breathtaking view of London out on the terrace. Howzat?

3. Speed right into F1® The Exhibition
If you’re a fan of Formula 1®, then you should be making a swift pit stop to swerve away from the busy streets to an exhibit filled with cars and memorabilia. Running in London from August 23, F1® The Exhibition gives you up-close insight to the world of Formula 1 racing from its inception up to the present day. With a giant space in the ExCel Centre, car fanatics will get to gawk at the vehicles before hearing exclusive interviews and stories behind their favourite drivers.

4. Uncover a hidden axe-throwing talent
Why just sit and talk to your friends while lethargically sipping a pint when you could do that but with more energy and throwing an axe at a target every so often? I don’t see why anyone would think that throwing axes at a target every so often wouldn’t solve all their problems.
Plus, after watching the off-the-wall Olympic events, we are well up to have some organised fun, and surely throwing an axe at a target every so often counts as a sport? You can head over to Whistle Punks Urban Axe Throwing at their Central London hub (the largest of its kind in Europe!) by booking a slot for a 70-minute session with axe-perts guiding you along to safety throw at the targets in each lane… every so often.

5. Go on a football stadium tour
London is a city steeped in footballing history and prowess. Fans have enjoyed some of the best days of their lives inside some incredible stadiums, from trophy lifts to evading relegation to last-minute screamers. And, when the games are off, you can get a sneak peek into the stadiums to check out trophy cabinets, old club artefacts, and see inside the changing rooms with the player shirts proudly hung up. Here are some you can see in London:
- Stamford Bridge – speaking of Chelsea, this is their home.
- The Emirates Stadium – the gathering place for Arsenal Football Club.
- Wembley Stadium – the home of football: England’s football garden meets hosts of giant concerts from Taylor Swift to The Weeknd to Bruce Springsteen.
- The London Stadium – formerly grounds for the London 2012 Olympics, now home to West Ham United
- The Tottenham Hotspur stadium – the newest stadium on this list, having held its opening game in April 2019.
6. Or climb up one!
If you’ve looked around the stadium and decided you want something more daring, you could always just climb up the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Discount this if you have a fear of heights, but the club run an experience called ‘The Dare Skywalk’, which allows anyone who partakes the chance to climb up to the summit and take in the 360-degree views around London.
