The UK is home to 1.3 million schoolchildren who receive free lunches at school.
But now that schools across the country have been closed, many individuals and community groups have stepped up to the challenge and taken on the responsibility of feeding the nation’s children. (Featured image: Fábio Alves)
Fearing that many schoolchildren in London will go without lunch, Qoot restaurant group is offering free lunches to all schoolchildren on presentation of their benefits documentation across all of the establishments in their portfolio: by CHLOE., The Lebanese Bakery, Dominque Ansel Bakery, Dominique Ansel Treehouse, The Gentlemen Baristas.
Qoot has packed lunches with sandwiches, a drink, and a snack which can be collected from any one of their currently open venues. See below for locations.
Qoot COO, Simon Wright, explains: ”If we at Qoot can go some way in relieving that threat (to vulnerable families) then at least there will be some positive to rise from this tragic time for the hospitality industry and our nation as a whole.”
