Kids, there’s a new London magazine on the block. Tomorrow morning, when you pass the usual mags and papers in the entrance of the tube, you’ll be able to get your hands around Swipe. This free magazine is bringing a fresh, innovative concept to the print publishing world – it’s all about taking the best of the internet and putting it on paper (no Wifi on the Underground required).
Publisher, Tom Rendell, told us that the aim of Swipe is to “showcase the best bits of the web – great writing, amazing stories, photos, jokes, ideas, lifehacks and cut out annoying clickbait, pop-up ads and people shouting at each other on social media.”You’ll be able to pick up the first edition of Swipe from any station in Zones 1 and 2 from Thursday 26th May. Every fortnight, Swipe will bring you a cherry-picked selection of articles and ideas on the World Wide Web. It’s a spectacular way of both reversing and harnessing the huge, dominating force that is the internet (and creating a pretty damn interesting collaborated editorial.)
P.S. Check out for Secret London’s very on spot in Swipe tomorrow 😉
