Unless you’ve been living under a rock this week, you’ll know that the finale of The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) aired this week, and regardless of whether you were #TeamConrad or #TeamJeremiah the overwhelming hole left in our lives now that it’s finished is undeniable (until the movie comes out, at least). But, fear not, we have tracked down places close to London that radiate TSITP vibes so you can keep a piece of Cousins in your life.
For Boardwalk vibes head to Brighton Pier
Only one hour away by train, Brighton’s iconic Pier is the ideal location to relive the episode where Belly and the gang spend all day at the arcade and you can even channel your inner Conrad by trying to win yourself a cuddly toy, just like Junior Mint. Of course, no trip down to the pier would be complete without a ride on the ferris wheel to complete the pier experience.

For Country Club vibes head to Thames Lido
Located in Reading, and again only a one hour train ride away, the Thames Lido oozes country club chic, complete with a heated outdoor pool, sauna and hot tub. You can also stop by the restaurant or book yourself a massage for an extra special treat.

For Beach vibes head to Camber Sands
The backdrop to so many pivotal TSITP scenes, from the “I thought you knew” moment that had all of us in tears, to Belly and Conrad’s first kiss, nothing is more quintessentially Cousins than the beach. Hop on a one hour train ride to Camber Sands, where you can rent your own summer house overlooking the beach and spend your days on the long sandy beaches, to truly feel like you are Belly on her summer break.

For Cousins vibes head to Whitstable
Spend the day walking through town browsing the many independent shops located in Whitstable, and you’ll feel just like Laurel and Susannah on a shopping trip in Cousins. Just a 1 and a half hour train from London, you can grabs oysters from the harbour and walk along the gorgeous seafront.

For Debutante Ball vibes head to The Painted Hall
Cast your minds back to the season one finale, and recreate the many dance routines from the debutante ball at The Painted Hall in Greenwich. Situated in the Old Royal Naval College the room features more than 3,700 square metres of Baroque walls and ceilings, which will transport you to the ballroom Belly and Conrad shared a dance in.
