You Can’t Always Get What You Want, but you will definitely get whatever you need at The Rolling Stones’ new store.
On September 9, The Rolling Stones will be opening their own shop, billed as the band’s first ever flagship store! ‘RS No. 9’, located on 9 Carnaby Street in Soho, will offer fans a chance to indulge in the world of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts.
The store will feature exclusive fashion for men, women and children, as well as an extensive range of official merchandise. You will be able to purchase anything and everything from scarves and raincoats, to umbrellas and even chairs. It doesn’t stop there; inside you will also find one-of-a-kind pieces including crystal glassware developed by Baccarat, and engraved with the band’s signature tongue logo!
The much anticipated store was created in collaboration with Bravado, the Universal merchandise company. Their CEO explained that “RS No. 9 Carnaby is the result of years of planning and decades of building one of the world’s most recognised brands. It creates a destination where fans can connect and immerse themselves in the music, style and spirit of one of the world’s most iconic and beloved bands.”
As you can imagine, the venue will reflect the legendary band in every way possible. Naturally, the colour scheme will be black and red, the glass floor will display their famous lyrics, and the fitting rooms will be covered in iconic artwork of their albums. And of course, their music will be both on sale and blasted through the speakers to give fans the ultimate shopping experience.
‘Stones Red’ will also be introduced as an official colour from Pantone, which is established from the first use of The Rolling Stones’s iconic logo, and a collection celebrating the colour will be available at the store.
In a statement, The Rolling Stones said “Soho has always encapsulated Rock ‘n’ Roll so Carnaby Street was the perfect spot for our own store. We are confident this exciting project that our friends at Bravado have created will be an unrivalled experience for everyone to come to London and enjoy.” Go ahead and clear the calendar for the September 9, because you won’t want to miss the grand opening!
