The power of the podcast is undeniable. It’s a form of media that has taken on an incredible level of success and popularity, and even translated well beyond simply something to listen to. What started as an audio-only format has expanded into all varieties of guises. And this September, the London Podcast Festival returns to allow fans to celebrate, discover, and connect. And they’re promising up some of the world’s greatest podcasters.
The London Podcast Festival will take over Kings Place – “London’s home of live podcasting” – from September 3-13. Across 11 days, the venue will be filled with events, podcasting, and activations, ranging from the main hall to spaces to relax in the canal-side terrace.
It’s the 11th iteration of the event, which was Europe’s first major podcast festival. Tickets are on sale now, and fans can snap up bookings for events with their favourite podcasters and creators.
At the London Podcast Festival
The festival has been curated by Kings Place’s Head of Artistic Planning Rebecca Millican. At the core of it all is an effort to highlight “podcasting’s remarkable ability to entertain, inspire and bring people together.”
Regardless of what podcasts you listen to, there’s sure to be something to attract you to the festival. Topics run the gamut across the likes of “comedy, gardening, current affairs, wrestling, film, music, disability and deaf-led storytelling, and audio drama.”
Attendees can enjoy live shows and meet up with fellow podcast enthusiasts. Among this year’s featured live shows and podcasts are:
- Wrong Turns with Jameela Jamil
- The Empire Film Podcast
- Life After Prison
- No Such Thing As A Fish
- Drop Us A Line – with their first-ever live podcast of their audience feedback show.
