Tate are looking for an expert to take charge of very important coffee-related business.
The role they’re looking to fill “encompasses all aspects of coffee within the four Tate Galleries” and requires “extensive experience of cupping and espresso quality assessment”.
The job itself will involve sourcing, blending and roasting coffee for use in all Tate Eats’ sites, as well as managing the entire Hot Beverage Team.
The successful candidate will be a strong leader who delivers a profitable business model – and must have a pretty high tolerance to caffeine, we suppose.
All I’m hearing is “be bossy, make sure the coffee tastes good and make sure people buy said coffee”. Three boxes that I can definitely (probably) tick.
The salary is £39,5000, plus sales-related bonuses and benefits. I’d take it.
Of course, we do realise that this is actually a serious job that requires genuine skill and experience. But what an enviable title! We’re only jealous, I swear.
