The latest season of Taskmaster may have recently come to an end, but we have just the thing to fill that alarmingly tall Greg Davies-shaped hole in your life. The hit TV show has been recreated for us mere mortals to enjoy in the form of an immersive experience, that launched in the capital city earlier this year.
Much like the beloved show, Taskmaster: The Live Experience sees competitors step inside the iconic Taskmaster house to partake in some weird, wacky and wonderful challenges, in a bid to win points and be crowned the champ. There are currently two sets of challenges for visitors to choose from: Melon Bright and Absolute Casserole – and both routes end in a final task which will see one lucky contestant take home the winner’s medal.
Every task across the experience has been carefully created and thoughtfully designed by Alex Horne and the production team behind the multi award-winning show. The interactive adventure unfortunately doesn’t have Greg Davies and Alex Horne there in-person, but players are treated to some rather impressive projected video instructions, featuring them both.
After completing the bizarre and brilliant tasks (with the help of a guide, dubbed Little Little Alex Horne), participants have the chance to visit the Taskmaster garden for food, drinks and plenty of hidden surprises. The experience also features a Taskmaster museum which features many pieces of the iconic show’s past, such as the typewriter used in the opening titles, and artwork by former contestants. You can also stock up on themed goodies here, or head to the bar that serves up themed cocktails and some well-earned grub.
Taskmaster: The Live Experience is running at Dock X, Canada Water, Surrey Quays Road, SE16 2XU. Prices start at £50 per person and you can find out more and book your tickets here.
