Shop some groovy neon lights to jazz up your home
Located in the depths of Walthamstow, this visual treasure trove of neon signage is a real feast for the eyes. Owner of God’s Own Junkyard and neon light artist Chris Bracey created, installed and collected many of the iconic pieces that can be found in store, including signs that have featured in films behind the likes of Johnny Depp, Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson. Drop in and admire Bracey’s artistry throughout the gallery – and you can even buy or rent your own piece to take home.

Have a swim at your local lido
London is positively brimming with wonderful places to enjoy a bracing alfresco swim. And health benefits aside, there is nothing quite like taking the plunge to leave you feeling refreshed and full of beans.
Catch a matinée show
With free time often being scarce during the week, it can be hard to find time to make the most of London’s incredible theatre scene. And that’s why a Sunday afternoon is the perfect opportunity to settle into a plush velvet chair with a glass of wine or some ice cream and enjoy a matinée show. Plus there are plenty of SWR rewards that will give you great discounts on a range of theatre productions across London.
