Every year, Somerset House puts on a star-studded affair with its set of gigs in July, and they announced its stacked lineup last week. Somerset House Summer Series has pulled it out of the bag once more, with appearances from the likes of Giggs, St. Vincent, Rizzle Kicks and more set to come.
It’s a special one this year, too, with Somerset House celebrating 25 years since becoming a hub for live music in its cultural transformation, and the bill reflects a stellar set of some of the most influential artists playing music today. In a first for the festival, fans will also have the chance to see a live score performed to a film premiere from Akinola Davies Jr as an artistic commission from Somerset House.
Summer Series takes place on 11 days between July 10 – 20, and the full lineup in order of the date they will play is: Rizzle Kicks, Freya Ridings, Jacob Banks, Parov Stelar, Akinola Davies Jr, Joy Oladokum, St. Vincent, The Snuts, The Paper Kites, FLO, and Giggs & Family.
Somerset House has been a mainstay for live music in the capital since 2000, and has seen some incredible names, voices, and musical talent grace its stage – from Amy Winehouse to Adele to Patti Smith to Little Simz. With a venue and backdrop this iconic, it’s not hard to see why fans keep flocking back.
How to get tickets to Somerset House Summer Series
Tickets to the Somerset House Summer series go on general sale tomorrow (March 6) at 10am, with tickets for each show being sold separately, so be sure to have your preferred performances in mind before heading over to purchase. There was a pre-sale Amex cardmembers on Monday, and a Somerset House subscriber pre-sale kicked off today (March 5).
