These wholesome gaming events are touring the city – and you’re invited.
Earlier this year, self-confessed geeks Izabela and Mark were sitting in a board game bar and realised they were surrounded by more than just typical gamers — gaming was reaching wider and more diverse audiences. Seeing this as an opportunity, Izabela and Mark turned their brains from Battleships to big ideas, and So Board was born: a series of welcoming and inclusive gaming events.
Think of So Board as a travelling roadshow of events at some of London’s top venues, with almost 200 games ranging from lively party games to complex strategy board games. With so much on offer, don’t worry if you can’t choose! A Games Guru will be on hand to help you choose the right game for your group.
Ultimately, these events aim not only to entertain, but also hope to help tackle loneliness. London is a big city and it can often be difficult to meet new people. So Board’s events are the perfect time to mix & mingle and try new games with like-minded individuals.
You’ll find the next So Board event at The Birds in Leytonstone on December 15, followed by The Old Nun’s Head in Peckham on December 22, and many more in 2020.
