There really are some amazing things to do, see, and experience in London, but if you were to ask me what two of my all time favourite pastimes are, without missing a beat, I would simply have to give you two little words: shopping and cocktails.
We all know that shopping in central London is essentially a competitive sport, so it’s imperative to rest your weary legs and quench your thirst after a long day of retail therapy, and what’s better than a cocktail bar next to the shop? A cocktail bar inside the shop.
Kudu Collective has ventured west for the first time ever and have relocated their swanky cocktail bar, Smokey Kudu, to the even swankier King’s Road. This stylish and intimate bar can be found inside RIXO’s brand new flagship store in the heart of Chelsea.
A central circular bar, a beautiful colour scheme, sunken banquette seating, soft lighting, and terracotta clay flooring; it’s basically an Instagrammers paradise (palm trees and all). Plus, all of the interior features have been sustainably sourced by interiors company, Cupla, which is always a bonus.
Guests can enjoy a selection of innovative drinks from Monday-Saturday (1pm-7pm), and Sundays (2pm-6pm). The menu features Smokey Kudu classics such as the Kudu Spritz (Aperol, guanabana, and prosecco) and the Braai Negroni (red berries infused whiskey, Italian bitter, and sweet vermouth) alongside a carefully curated selection of sparkling, red, and white wines.
They also haven’t held back on their non-alcoholic offerings, with options including the Kudu Tai (watermelon, almond, pineapple, and citrus) and the Virgin Paloma (virgin ‘Campari’, guava, and grapefruit soda).
Escape the hustle and bustle of the King’s Road, have a browse of the wide range of RIXO designs, and then grab yourself a delicious cocktail to truly end the day in style. I’ll absolutely drink to that.
