The song of Skylark Roof Garden is a sweet one indeed.
Paddington is so much more than a railway station, as we’ve argued before. Thankfully, that’s even more too with the arrival of Skylark Roof Garden, a lovely new rooftop bar and restaurant that’ll be catching the rays before you know it. It opens July 6th, with lovely views over Little Venice awaiting you – and lots more besides!
We’ll get to the food, bevs, and entertainment in a second, but the most important point of concern for sunseekers and the unshakably lazy is that yes, there will be “lavish day beds” for sunshine reclining. Plus, at ten floors above terra firma, the views are nothing to be sniffed at, with Notting Hill, Hyde Park, and Regents Park also in the eyeline.
The food is an eclectic lot, with light, summery fare like frisée salad of roasted fig, blue cheese, walnuts and Iberico ham, and sauté of mussels, clams, and tiger prawns on the menu. Mind you, it’s the desserts that have us most interested – how does elderflower cheesecake with raspberry coulis, or lime and Malibu panna cotta with roasted pineapple sound?
Cocktails add futher intrigue to what was already shaping up as a lovely spot, with our eyes firmly fixed upon the White Chocolate Martini (for starters). After that, it’s frozen cocktails, and then perhaps a little nap on the day beds to sort us out before the DJs start. Peachy!
Find Skylark Roof Garden at 10th Floor, 4 Kingdom Street, W2 6BD, from July 6th. See more on their website.
