Sometimes a restaurant is so confident in its food that they put it straight into the name. At Borough Market’s ROAST, they do exactly what it says on the tin sign out front: Sunday Roasts. And they go BIG. And they’re about to get even bigger as they expand to a second site in the city, opening up ROAST Shoreditch this October – with all the trimmings.
ROAST’s second location will open next month at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch on Curtain Road. And they’ll get right to business, serving up their legendary roast dinners, as well as all-day dining that will take guests from breakfast to brunch, through to afternoon tea, and dinner.

Sunday Roasts
As you might have gleaned by now, ROAST prides itself on its, well, roasts. And the new Shoreditch site is no different. On Sundays, diners can choose from five signature roasts:
- 42 Day Aged Roast Beef
- Signature Pork Belly
- Roast Chicken Supreme
- Nut Roast
- Cornish Sea Bass
Each roast comes with specific sides or sauces, as well as all the standard trimmings. We’re talking roast potatoes, savoy cabbage, minted courgette & peas, carrot & swede crush and Yorkshire pudding. Sadly, Cauliflower Cheese isn’t included as standard, but that’s because at ROAST they serve sharing portions of Truffled Cauliflower Cheese as a side. (As well as a variety of other sides and starters.)
The menu also features ROAST’s Signature Beef Wellington, which comes served with a truffle mash potato and madeira sauce. Or you can opt for the Sunday special: Slow Cooked Lamb Shank with buttered mash potatoes, red wine jus and fresh mint sauce.

What about the other days of the week?
Now, ROAST isn’t serving up all of their Sunday Roasts every day of the week. They have to draw the line somewhere. But they’re also not simply closing up shop from Monday to Saturday. Instead, they serve an à la carte menu that sees them turning their dedication to masterful roast cooking to other foodstuffs.
Daily specials range from Steak, Ale & Bone Marrow Pie to Monkfish Wellington and Roast Suckling Pig. Elsewhere, the menu contains everything from Freshly Shucked Carlingford Oysters to Haggis & Pork Scotch Egg, Cottage Pie, Grilled Giant Madagascan Prawns, and more.
Oh, and if you absolutely must have a Sunday Roast on a Tuesday, you’re in luck at ROAST. Their à la carte menu includes their Signature Pork Belly, or you can opt for the 42 Day Aged Roast Beef, which comes served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatoes, carrot, savoy cabbage, horseradish sauce, and house gravy.
