It seems like we’re writing about the sketch toilets every other week – seriously, they do love a floral makeover. The most Instagrammed feature of Mayfair’s fabulously trendy restaurant, this upmarket bogs make a trip to the loo something special – but now, there’s an extra reason to visit their famed bathrooms.

The famous pods have been joined by a wildflower meadow, bursting with colourful blooms. Designed by longtime collaborator Carly Rogers Flowers, it’s a beautiful bouquet that’s quickly caught the attention of London’s snap-happy millennials.
Other little touches have also graced the bathrooms, with the iconic pods covered with futuristic illustrations of flowers. It’s all part of a tribute to Jane Webb, a nineteenth-century botanical painter and sci-fi writer. Meanwhile, a custom ‘sky fabric’, designed by Insley & Nash hangs from the ceiling, complementing the futuristic lights that have long been a fixture of the sketch toilets.
Though the bathroom is normally the highlight of the Mayfair Flower Show, there are other floral delights to see. Rebel Rebel Flowers are in charge of the sketch façade, reimagining scenes from old paintings, whilst Figa & Co will create a trick of the eye in the Entrance Hall with their fabric-flower hybrid. Finally, Jam Jar Flowers will bring a ‘stained glass window’ made of pressed flowers to the reception area.
sketch are furthering the Mayfair Flower Show experience with a floral-inspired afternoon tea, served in their delightfully pink Gallery. Featuring botanical treats such as elderflower and lemon tart, and a rose flower religieuse, it’s a real treat (especially with the £85 price tag…).
All in all, the most extra AF restaurant in London just got a little more extra. Which makes it a pretty good time to pay a visit, am I right?
