ROKA’s highly ‘grammable cherry blossoms are blooming marvellous.
Springtime in London often involves hesitantly tracking the weather, and constantly swapping between scarf and sunglasses. But there’s one part of spring that all Londoners love: the arrival of beautiful cherry blossom. And whilst you could wander all over town trying to spot them (our flower guide might be able to help with that), ROKA on Charlotte Street always puts on a stunning show – just look at last year’s offering:
Perfect pink petals are sure to put a smile on your face, and ROKA is celebrating spring with the return of their stunning Sakura cherry blossom installation. One of London’s best Japanese restaurants, they’ve supplemented the food with the beautiful blooms, opening in their basement Shochu lounge on March 26th.
If drinking in a beautiful, Japanese-inspired setting wasn’t enough, guests can also try cocktails created especially for the season. The Tokyo Rose is a feisty fusion of rose petal-infused gin, aperol, plum sake, and peach bitters, whilst the Shochu on the Beach blends cherry shochu, pineapple & cranberry, and peach liqueur.
From April 7th, ROKA will launch the Sakura Sunday brunch, featuring sashimi, gyoza, and robata dishes. It’s not exactly a steal at £60 per person, but short of a trip to Japan for hanami season, it’ll be a pretty unforgettable experience this spring!
