Does the idea of HIIT (high-intensity interval training) make you want to hiit yourself in the face? Yeah, me too. And I want to take a lie down while I’m at it. However, fitness group Rabble London is committed to making HIIT fun – and they’re doing so by combining fitness with the kind of games we did back at school. However, this time, there’s no mean P.E. teacher, and no non-weather-proof uniforms. Score!
Rabble London designs its gaming sessions to be fun, while also incorporating training for speed, endurance, coordination, agility, and strength. Lasting an hour, the sessions welcome solo attendees and groups, and all levels of fitness are encouraged to join.
So, what playground games will you play at these fitness classes?
While Kiss Chase will need to stay in the confines of your own home and relationship, the Rabble London fitness sessions pretty much cater to all the other school games. You’ll play Bulldog, Capture the Flag, Dodgeball, Frisbee, and many more – every session is different. If school was too long ago, and you can’t remember the rules, fear not; they’ll be explained at the beginning of the session.
Rabble sessions take place at various locations in London:
- Clapham Common
- Shoreditch Park
- Elephant & Castle (Notre Dame School)
- Finsbury Park
- Hoxton (Haggerston School)
- Southwark Park
- Highbury & Islington (COLA Highbury Grove)
- Elephant & Castle (Geraldine Park).
These are all-weather sessions, so be prepared to play, rain or shine. Rabble London even has intercity games every so often; basically, an adults’ sports day.
After booking your Rabble London spot, all you need to do is come in sportswear, with a water bottle and an appetite for some friendly competition. Sounds like a good time to us! Find out more here.
