What can you expect at the Titanic VR exhibition in London?
Titanic: Echoes From The Past will take you from the heights of the starry night to the depths of 3,800 metres underwater, as you follow the RMS Titanic on its fateful journey. In multiple sequences, you’ll experience the recreation of that ill-fated night through the lens of filmmaker William Harbeck – who, in real life, was sadly one of the passengers who lost his life. The VR experience will enable you to experience key moments in the voyage, including hitting the iceberg, as well as give you a closer look at the wreck as it appears today.
Most importantly, though, Titanic: Echoes From The Past seeks to pay homage to the passengers on board back in 1912; in fact, the final sequence promises to be touching, as it focuses on the ship’s departure from Southampton, reminding visitors of the people at the heart of the story: the passengers and crew.

The 30-minute VR experience is the result of two years of meticulous research into the RMS Titanic ship, its passengers, and the events leading to the ship’s sinking in the Atlantic Ocean. The team has drawn on resources from the Cité de la Mer in Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, and the American archives of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration to create an experience that is both educational and entertaining.
