In the world of art, there are a handful of names so famous that they are recognised by everyone. Some have even become so acclaimed that even the least ardent of art fans would recognise their artistic style, or could call to mind a famed piece by the artist. One such name is the internationally renowned Salvador Dalí. And a brand new exhibition has just opened in London, where visitors can dive deep into the artist’s prolific output – and it’s completely FREE to visit.
Running from September 18-28, Salvador Dalí & The Modern Masters will take over Notting Hill’s Clarendon Fine Art Gallery for just two weekends. The exhibition will feature an array of sculptures and original works on paper by Dalí. It’s a special opportunity to see many of the highlighted artworks, as many of the pieces have never before been seen by the public.
Salvador Dalí & The Modern Masters
The exhibition celebrates Dalí’s famed surrealist style, but also presents an unseen side of the artist. It’s a chance to see works in progress, sketches, and ideas that would go on to inform other artworks.

Salvador Dalí & The Modern Masters also features “rare masterpieces by Picasso, Chagall, and other pioneers of the modern era“. Celebrating the innovation of the Surrealist movement, the exhibition has been carefully curated to present a wide look at the artistic period and style. Whether you’re already a Dalí fan or can’t even name a single piece by the artist, you’re sure to find plenty to be impressed by at the exhibition.
Oh, and did we mention that it’s FREE to visit? It’s not in town for long, so be sure to check it out before you miss out. It could be your only chance to see many of the featured pieces of art!
