Global phenomenon Robbie Williams is a man of many talents, both on and off the stage – but did you know that he’s an artist and sculptor, too? In fact, his latest collection of artwork will debut at Moco Museum London in April this year.
Robbie Williams and Moco Museum are certainly no strangers, as this will be the third time Williams has worked with the art museum. But this next exhibition, called Radical Honesty, will feature a collection of never-before-seen sculptures using a mix of materials and textures. From a seat for ‘uninterrupted introversion’, to a marble sculpture representing anxiety: you can expect to be faced with beautiful, raw, messy, and oh-so-real emotion depicted in art.
If you’re a fan of Robbie Williams, you’ll know he wears his heart on his sleeve. Hot on the heels of his critically acclaimed biopic Better Man, this new exhibition at Moco Museum will offer a new insight into his artistic expression and, ahem, ‘radical honesty’. Transforming his personal experiences into thought-provoking art, this exhibition is for anyone and everyone; to encourage them to embrace their imperfections and not shy away from their authentic selves.
Robbie Williams says of the exhibition: “For Radical Honesty, I invite you to rejoice in all the things that make us human: anxiety, self-love, introversion, morning mirror pep talks. In a world obsessed with keeping it together, embracing the chaos might just be the most radical thing you can do. Sit with the chaos and face the self-judgement, and judgement from others, head-on.”
