The Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch has once again given their rooftop a complete makeover. Recent years have seen cherry gardens and Alice in Wonderland-themed décor, food, and experiences hitting East London. But this year they’re leaning into the season with a wintry makeover that will transport guests to a magical Italian terrace laden with chandeliers and candelabras. It’s a picture-perfect way to enjoy the evenings as the weather cools down and night comes earlier to London.
From Wednesday November 8, step off the street and step back in time to medieval Italy for a night of Venetian revelry that you won’t forget. Picture the scene: gondola-style seating circle crackling outdoor fireplaces, elaborate feather masks and drapes of silk don the terrace as you sip on a warm cocktail under the moonlight. At The Queen of Hoxton’s Queen’s Masquerade Winter Terrace, that’s what awaits. It’s the perfect destination for chilling with friends, going on dates, or simply taking in the sights.
Food and drink
Hidden away from the streets of Shoreditch, the Queen of Hoxton is much more than just a pretty face, as they’ve got a full menu of delicious Venetian-inspired delights. They’ve got winter warmers, themed cocktails, and mouthwatering food, that runs the gamut from snack-y pieces to full-on meals to keep the hunger at bay. Expect warm cheesy arancini balls and themed burgers, with tipples that include signature cocktails alongside specials such as the warming Hot Buttered Rum perfect to enjoy next to the roaring fire.
In true Queen of Hoxton style, they’ll be keeping things exciting with a range of events throughout the season. You’ll have plenty of excuses to keep coming back so you can while away the evening at the gothic winter terrace – even if it’s just for one last picture (or one last drink).
Open from Wednesday – Saturday until 9:30pm, with the party continuing downstairs until late.
