Queen of Hoxton—everyone’s favourite Shoreditch rooftop—is transforming into the marvellous Land of Oz this winter.
From October 24, the Queen of Hoxton in Shoreditch will be decked out in Irish green. And no, it’s not a bizarre ode to St Patrick, but rather to the wonderful Wizard of Oz and his Emerald City.
Follow the yellow brick road, or indeed the yellow brick staircase, and you’ll be welcomed with toasted marshmallows and glistening green cocktails, all inside a cosy rooftop WigWam. You certainly won’t be in Kansas anymore!

Cocktails will include festive concoctions such as the Pumpkin-Spiced Mulled Cider, the Bad B*tch Hot Chocolate spiked with Cognac or orange liqueur, or the Emerald Bellini with vodka, passionfruit, orange, prosecco and a salted caramel and popping candy rim. There’ll also be a range of Kansas-style grub, including burgers and pot roasts.
As always, there’ll be a wide variety of themed events throughout the season, including immersive, spell-casting experiences, pickling workshops and silent discos.
There’s enough to keep you entertained for hours, so once you’re up, we don’t imagine you’ll be clicking your heels together for a while.
Location: Queen of Hoxton, 1 Curtain Road, EC2A 3JX.
Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, midday to 10pm (until October 2019).
