Calling all of London’s devoted gamers, get ready to level up your daily commute! A carriage on the Victoria Line has been reimagined with a PlayStation makeover, in this brand-new partnership and marketing campaign between Sony Interactive Entertainment and Transport for London (TfL).
The carriage’s seats now feature PlayStation-themed details–replacing the renowned designs of London’s iconic Underground upholstery with the button icons found on the PS controller: circle, triangle, cross, and square, as well as the words ‘START’ and ‘FINISH’.
This new creative collaboration adds a pop of excitement to the daily grind of London life, especially if you’re a fan of PlayStation!
This isn’t the first time the gaming brand has teamed up with TfL either, with the renowned Oxford Circus station receiving PlayStation-themed signs during the launch of the PS5 in 2020.
When it comes to this new makeover on the Victoria Line, the seats are exclusive to a single carriage on one train, so it’ll be rare to stumble upon it should you want to go searching.
The Victoria Line has trains running every 90 seconds at peak times, almost turning this wishful sighting into a game in itself, so good luck and happy hunting!
Luckily for eager fans, the seats will be available to use and see until January 7, 2025, so there’s plenty of time to try and spot them, and snap up a selfie!
Many Londoners and PlayStation fans were quick to respond following the announcement on X, praising the idea and the makeover itself.
One person (@OmegaSaiyanX) stated: “What better way to promote a product than use something people use on a daily basis. Plus means new seats. It’s a win-win.”
Another fan (@eemeli7093) responded: “they should keep these fr, looks great”
So, are you going to go and find this brand-new makeover on the London Underground? Remember, you’ve only got until January 7, 2025!
