Platform 9 3/4 Transformed Into A Shrine Paying Tribute To Alan Rickman

Harry Potter fans are marking the death of Alan Rickman with a shrine at King’s Cross, Platform 9 3/4. The station’s exhibit (signposting the departure point of the Hogwarts Express) has been inundated with visitors laying flowers (including lilies), messages, and even scarfs in tribute to the actor, transforming it into a touching memorial.

In the wake of the devastating news, people all over the world have been marking his death. Wands were raised in memory of the late star at the Wizarding World of Harry Potter in Florida and staff at the Harry Potter studio tour have honoured the late actor with a tribute above his wand.

JK Rowling called him a ‘wonderful man’ while fellow Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe called him ‘undoubtedly one of the greatest actors I will ever work with.’

Tributes have been slowly building up on the luggage trolley and beside the platform wall. Of all the places Harry Potter fans could make a shrine for Alan Rickman, this must surely be one of the most fitting.
