Does any food and drink pairing work better than pizza and beer? Arguably, not! So, wouldn’t it be great if you could go somewhere and enjoy tap-fresh craft beer and some of the best pizzas our city, and indeed the wider UK, has to offer? Well, that’s exactly what’s coming up this month at the Slice-O-Mania pizza festival.
Since it debuted in 2023, Slice-O-Mania has been providing a handy way for Londoners to enjoy some of the best pints and slices around. And they’re back again for 2025, with a weekend of pizza-munching and beer-sipping for you to enjoy – across April 19 & 20.
Slice-O-Mania (like the Tacover by the same organisers) will take place at Signature Brewery in Walthamstow. The festival takes advantage of the brewery’s combined indoor and outdoor spaces, as well as a rooftop terrace area. (And their delicious supply of beer…)
Be sure to block off your calendars because you won’t want to miss out. Act fast, though – Saturday tickets are already sold out, and Sunday tickets are selling fast!
What to expect from Slice-O-Mania
The UK’s best pizza vendors will be serving up delicious slices of their pizza pies, with prices capped at just £3 a slice. The offerings could take the form of a mini pie, a NY-style slice, or a wedge of Detroit-style pizza – with an emphasis on individual portions.
Basically, they want guests to be able to taste as widely as possible. There’s no point in only having one full-size pizza from one pizza vendor at a pizza festival! The whole affair will then culminate with the judging, where awards are given to the top pizzerias – in the form of the Heavyweight Pizza Championship Belts.
Sunday’s session will also feature the first-ever UK Pizza Eating Championships. Participants will take part in three rounds of pizza-eating match-ups to determine the UK’s best pizza eater. The challenges will include a speed eating challenge, a volume eating challenge, and a hot sauce round.

All the while, thanks to the festival’s location at Signature Brew, there will be plenty of sudsy, ice-cold beers to wash down the pizzas. It’s a day of pizza-munching and beer-crushing – can you think of anything better?
