Ever watched a conveyor belt of sushi ferrying small plates of food to hungry customers and thought, ‘okay, but what if it was cheese?’ If so, we’ve got just the place for you to check out. Presenting: Pick and Cheese, and their world-first cheese conveyor belt.
Nestled within the KERB-run Seven Dials Market, Pick & Cheese serves hungry Londoners an endless supply of cheese, all delivered via a 40-metre conveyor belt. While they now boast a handful of locations in the city, with their own conveyor belts, the Covent Garden site was the very first to do it.
The ever-changing selection could include everything from hard, washed rind goats cheeses to Stilton-style blues, Cornish Gouda, whipped ricotta, Red Leicester, Cheddar and much more. Oh, and plates start at just £4.65 each.
But there’s more than just cheese on offer at Pick & Cheese. Well, sort of. Each cheese comes with a specially-selected pairing. These range from Kimchi to Clotted Cream Fudge, Grilled Olives, Gingerbread, Chilli Jam, and more. You’ll also spot an assortment of charcuteries and pickles trundling their way along the conveyor (and into our hungry mouths).

Plates are handily colour-coded, much like your favourite sushi conveyor belt restaurant. So you can at least pretend you’re being price-conscious as the plates pile up in front of you. But if you’d rather go to town on as much cheese as possible, with one simple price, there’s an option for you. Allow us to present:
Bottomless Plates at Pick & Cheese
Ready to eat your own body weight in cheese? Then you’ll want to make a booking to visit Pick & Cheese on a Wednesday to try out the Bottomless Plates deal.
Priced at just £29.50 per person, you can chow down on cheese to your heart’s content. For 75 minutes, you can enjoy unlimited cheese, charcuterie, and pickles. (Just don’t grab the fancy yellow plates with special desserts, those aren’t included.)
With the individual plates ranging between £4.65 and £6 on a normal day, all it takes is a handful of plates to get your money’s worth. But I reckon I could easily chomp my way through most of the menu in one sitting. Even if I might regret it later…

For even more cheese-y goodness, check out Pick & Cheese Camden, climb aboard The Cheese Barge, or keep an eye out for the roving Cheese Truck, which doles out delicious grilled cheeses.
