The London calendar is absolutely stuffed with all sorts of strangely themed ‘Days’. They range from ‘National Tequila Day‘ to ‘Negroni Week‘ and even ‘National Transfer Money to Your Son Day’. (Nudge, nudge – in case my dad is reading this…) Another such day is drawing nearer, with World Pasta Day (October 25) gracing us with a chance to stuff our faces full of carbs all day long. And Pasta Evangelists are here to help us do so – with free pasta!
For one day only Pasta Evangelists are taking to tube stations around London to dole out pasta to London’s commuters, absolutely free. They’re even giving the Tube stations a pasta-y name makeover for the event. Farringdon station will turn into Farfallingdon, Clapham Junction into Claphamellini, Fulham Broadway will become Fusilli, Tooting Tootelloni, and Camden Town Camdenlloni Town.
How to get the free pasta
Head to one of the pasta-fied tube stations between 11:30am and 1:30pm today (October 25). The Pasta Evangelists team will be waiting outside and serving up 1,000 portions of their classic pasta dishes. Choices range from Carbonara to Beef Shin Ragu, spicy Arrabbiata, and Wild Mushroom pasta.
If you miss out on the giveaway, you can also find Pasta Evangelists wares online, at their Harrods Pasta Bar, and in select M&S stores (Kensington and Clapham). As well as serving up pasta that can be ordered for takeaway, Pasta Evangelists also make pasta recipe kits that can be ordered all around the country. Using these you can whip up “restaurant-quality pasta at home in as little as 5 minutes.”
Want to learn all the secrets to making great pasta dishes at home? They also run a Pasta Academy where guests can take pasta-making classes under the watchful eye of expert Italian chefs. (Psst – you also get unlimited Prosecco while you cook!)
Grab yourself some free pasta from Pasta Evangelists today, between 11:30am-1:30pm at Farringdon, Clapham Junction, Fulham Broadway, Tooting, and Camden Town tube stations.
