Parsnips really don’t get enough air time…
Autumn is synonymous with many things: leaves, daylight savings time, chilly weather and most importantly, pumpkin spice lattes. Well, one bakery in Stratford’s East Village has decided to put their own spin on the popular beverage. Signorelli‘s talented pastry chefs have created the world’s first parsnip spice latte and truth be told, I don’t know how to feel about it. That being said, you can guarantee I’ll be the first in line to try one.
Signorelli’s latest creation was intended to celebrate the festive season and spread some love to one of winter’s most underrated vegetables – the parsnip. The new beverage is made with parsnip spice, turmeric, cinnamon, maple syrup and oat milk, and is supposedly the perfect combination of sweet and savoury. 2020 really is full of surprises…
Fortunately, we won’t have to wait too long to try one of these bad boys as they go on sale this Friday (November 20). They retail at £3.75 and will be available until December 23. To make matters even more exciting, Signorelli are giving away 25 of these lattes for free every Friday for the rest of the month! Just head there between 2-3pm for your freebie (or a little earlier to avoid disappointment).

If you fancy an equally festive bite, they currently have a Christmas loaf cake, Ferrero Rocher cake and an Eggnog cake with whiskey and spiced caramel icing, on offer. Go on, treat yourself.
Owner Rebecca Rosmini said “It might sound a little strange, but the Parsnip Spice Latte is absolutely delicious, and goes well with festive pastries and cakes. The added turmeric gives it a little kick, but the syrup and oat milk carefully balance the flavours for a cosy wintery treat.”
I’m sold, but if you need a little more convincing, pop along and try one for yourself!
