Socially distanced Christmas cinema awaits at The Parking Lot Social.
Set off for Syon Park this winter, and you’ll find an unforgettable night of Christmas magic. That’s because The Parking Lot Social will bring their brilliant drive-in cinema to town—complete with a 60ft illuminated Christmas tree—from December 3-7, offering you the chance to kick back, put your feet up on the dashboard, and immerse yourself in some of the UK’s favourite festive films, as well as take part in plenty of fun activities. Tickets for the Christmas cinema are on sale now, but you’ll find even more waiting for you this December!
As the winter nights draw in, you can enjoy a relaxing evening in front of two 40ft screens in the comfort of your car, and see the undeniable magic of festive flicks unfold before you. And whilst The Parking Lot Social are only running four screenings this year, they’ve made sure to fill them with only the best Christmas films on offer. On December 3, you can enjoy back-to-back antics from burglar-thwarting Kevin McAllister in Home Alone & Home Alone 2. Meanwhile, December 7 welcomes the arrival of potentially the UK’s two top Christmas films: Elf and Love Actually. You can find your tickets to those here.
If you’re in need of a laugh during these hard times, The Parking Lot Social is also hosting a comedy night featuring a variety of local stand-up acts that will ensure endless LOLs in your car. So tune your radio to hear hilarious jokes and anecdotes from the stage, allowing us all to get out the house, switch off (both the engine and from real life) and come together while still keeping that safe distance apart. It takes place on December 6, and your tickets are available here.
If you’re looking for some fun entertainment during the weekend, they’re also hosting The Big Weekender Christmas Party on December 5, stuffed full of activities that you can take part in from the comfort of your car. Live DJs will be on stage playing your favourites and you can sing your heart out without any judgement (maybe just from those in the car). Despite many music festivals being cancelled this year, it doesn’t mean you should miss out on a silent disco, or a rousing session of car-a-oke! Put on your wireless headphones and enjoy the music selection, but make sure you nab some tickets first.
And finally, it wouldn’t be Christmas without a pantomime. From December 4-6, Cinderella will come to life at Syon Park, allowing you to boo, hiss, and cheer along to a professionally-produced live panto. Tickets for that one can be found here.
All the necessary social distancing measures are in place; all cars will be parked two metres apart, tickets will be scanned through car windows, and the whole shebang is non-contact. You’ll be able to pre-order from a menu of classic drive-in cinema food too, with burgers, fries, and shakes all available for collection once you’ve arrived. Best of all, Fever have an exclusive discount on all The Parking Lot Social’s Christmas events, which means you can nab a 10% discount if you book here.
With dinner, entertainment and a film combined, all you need is the car and enough petrol, then you’ve got yourself a fabulous evening sorted!
