With more than 630,000 posts across Instagram and TikTok, Oxford isn’t just academically prestigious; it’s visually iconic.
Its 534.91-hectare campus and high green space score only add to its appeal, offering students both grandeur and breathing room.
Cambridge University has the largest campus in the UK
Close behind is Cambridge, equally rich in postcard-worthy scenery. With the largest campus in the ranking, stretching across 668.68 hectares, the university blends riverside calm with historic charm.
It’s the kind of place where punting down the Cam or revising in a sunlit college garden feels like part of the academic experience itself.
But it’s not just Oxbridge capturing attention. Newcastle University takes third place, proving that beauty isn’t confined to tradition alone. Its expansive campus and strong connection to city life offer a different kind of appeal, one that balances green space with an urban feel.
London School of Economics ranks fourth
Despite having one of the smallest campuses on the list (just 13.27 hectares), the London School of Economics ranks fourth overall and second for social media popularity.
With over 318,000 posts across Instagram and TikTok, LSE proves that a compact, city-centre campus can still deliver strong visual appeal. Its location in central London, surrounded by cultural landmarks and green spaces, contributes to its high score for urban greenery.
