Giant jugs of beer? Men in Lederhosen? Where do we sign up?
Oktoberfest is the biggest and beeriest event of the year in Germany, and it’s back in London for another year. It started in Munich after a Royal Wedding got a little boozy and the couple vowed to make the party an annual affair. The celebration quickly caught on around the world (any excuse, eh?) and, of course, London hopped on the band wagon. So get your glad rags on (and by glad rags we mean lederhosen) and get down to one of these fab locations across the city for some cheery beery, ompah-tainment.
All complete with traditional German bratwursts, schnitzels and pretzels, as well as proper Bavarian beer and live Oompah bands, these events are guaranteed to be oodles of fun with oodles of carousing. Head to Millwall Park in Canary Wharf to join 50,000 other revellers and dance on long tables, go to Proud Camden for late night DJs and pop-up food vendors, or, if you really want to work on that beer belly, pop to the Bavarian Beerhouse for a month long celebration (check links for dates and details).
