Need a little ginspiration this winter? This festival is here to provide it!
The coronavirus pandemic shouldn’t prevent you from celebrating the high holidays: Christmas, birthdays, and any gin-related occasions. Having already celebrated multiple events in lockdown, the good folks at The Gin To My Tonic (who run their own brilliant annual gin festival IRL) have decided that another gin-centric festival is in order. Hence the arrival of a new event from December 4-6: Gin-mas, a glorious – albeit somewhat thinly-veiled – excuse to raise a glass to London’s favourite spirit. This entirely online gin festival comes complete with gin taster kits delivered to your door, and you can find your tickets here!
The festival unfolds in two stages: first, with the arrival of your fully-stocked festival box. Contained within are award-winning gins from a range of excellent craft distilleries, each carefully selected to showcase the variety of gin that exists worldwide. The day you opt for will determine which gin you get; for instance, Friday’s gins are drawn from Gin To My Tonic’s own selection of flavoured gins, including watermelon gin and yuzu and schezuan pepper gin. Meanwhile, Saturday features distilleries such as Isle of Harris, Bond Street, and Edinburgh Gin, whilst Sunday is the turn of Pilgrim’s Gin, Tarsier, and Locksley to shine. They’ll be delivered all across the mainland UK too, so you won’t need to be in London to partake. (Tickets can be found here)
Each gin will also come with a complimenting Fever Tree mixer that’ll bring out the best of your G&T – and especially for Gin-mas, you’ll also get a gin stocking, stainless steel straw, pen, and commemorative Copa glass to keep. And the festival box is just the start, as this celebration of gin also includes a series of masterclasses that’ll sharpen your knowledge of all things gin. For now, though, the only knowledge we need is that we love gin, and we can’t wait to join this festival!
