Old But Gold, a new cocktail party here in London, opens its doors today (October 7), following much success over in Brussels. As you venture into the multi-purpose venue of The Boiler House on Brick Lane, you’ll be transported back through four decades of music, with a colourful cocktail in hand. The 80-minute experience makes use of sound, sight and taste, so you can truly relive these decades – or hear their iconic hits for the first time in all their glory.
How is Old But Gold different from other cocktail experiences?
This is not the one for those after a quiet, inconspicuous drink after work: bring your singing voice – the opportunity to join in karaoke awaits – and dance moves to Old But Gold. The venue uses an immersive sound system, 16 video projectors and 360-degree interactive project mapping to bring the 70s, 80s, 90s and 00s to life in 2022. The floor-to-ceiling screens will stream music videos and footage from some of the biggest events during the 40-year period, as you sip on four colourful cocktails, specifically themed around each decade.
Running every Friday and Saturday evening, Old But Gold will get the good times (and all the nostalgia) rolling. From the times of Whitney to the times of Britney, plus the likes of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles too, you’ll recall the words of songs you thought you’d long forgotten. So, go grab your pals, get your Marty McFly on and time travel at this one-of-a-kind cocktail experience.
