We tend to cover a lot of dinner-oriented restaurants and cocktail bars here at Secret London. What can we say? We love those evening venues made for cosy dinners and late-night soirees. But here’s one for the breakfast bunch and the weekend brunchers. OATIS, a gorgeous new café, has opened in Notting Hill with Insta-worthy interiors and a menu devoted to all things oat-y and porridge-y.
At their picture-perfect café, they’re serving up an easy solution to morning nutrition and plenty of Instagram fodder across the eye-catching food and interiors. Whether you’re looking for a healthy, filling meal, or just want to grab a coffee and a quick bite, OATIS may become your new favourite spot to stop.
On the menu at OATIS
In case it isn’t clear from the name, OATIS is an oat-focused café. Championing the benefits of steel-cut oats, they pride themselves on their sweet and savoury oat bowls. But these aren’t your typical bowls of gruelly oatmeal or porridge, the steel-cut oats used at OATIS provide a more toothsome ‘bite’ to their oat bowls.
The bowls are topped with the likes of caramelised banana, tahini butter, and maple (the Sticky Banana & Tahini oat bowl), or poached chicken breast, crispy bacon, cherry tomatoes, avocado, pecorino crisp, and almond gremolata (the Steel Cut Club) for the savoury inclined. They’ve also recently overhauled their customer-favourite signature menu staple, the Pink Lady. This particular porridge bowl features cinnamon baked apple, yoghurt, chia & flax seed, cranberries and OATIS topper. It’s then topped off with your choice of Pip & Nut peanut, almond or cacao almond butter for a tasty treat.
Beyond the porridge
But there’s more than just oats in bowls here! Smoothie bowls, pancakes, salads, and sandwiches are also available for your breakfast, brunch, or lunch needs. Don’t miss the Blueberry Business pancakes, which come topped with blueberry and lemon compote, roasted coconut, and almond brittle. Don’t they just sound like the summer-iest pancakes ever invented?!
OATIS’ coffee comes from The Roasting Party, while the tea selection comes from Bird & Blend. And we reckon it’s a pretty good chance they’ll have oat milk here for your flat-whites…
Said Ines Verniers, Creative Director and Co-Founder of OATIS:
We are incredibly excited to launch our debut café in Notting Hill and we’re looking forward to joining the buzzing community there.
We believe OATIS will be a fabulous addition to the diverse food and beverage scene and a wonderful spot for friends and families to spend a relaxed morning or afternoon enjoying healthy dishes made with quality produce.
